I've slowly been getting back into doing creative things, so when I saw this SHOWstudio brief, I thought I may as well go for it. To me, Giles' dress is the perfect mix of old and new, so I decided to go a little space age/holographic with the fabric.
Turns out, this fabric was my worst nightmare. I spent my time half laying on the floor in fetal position and the other half screaming, "Give me cotton or give me death!" I hope that gives you a nice mental image.
Anyway, onto the photos.

Hi!
Hi there, hi. Hello. I've been quiet for quite some time now. Lots of different things have happened (more on that later - don't mean to sound so ominous there), but I thought why not break the silence and show you some Little Fille stuff I've been working on. On a Saturday night at 3:39am, no less. Fun, party times.
I've been experimenting with shells, plastic and metal. Usually my personal style is quite minimalistic (or whatever I pick up from my bedroom floor, let's be real), so sometimes it's quite a challenge to get into "Little Fille" mode. I hardly ever wear headbands. Shock, horror! But I absolutely love to create new pretty, little things - so look forward to more in the future.

Headpiece Giveaway!
If I'm being completely honest, I've always had flower haberdashery in my arsenal that I've never quite been compelled to use. That is, until I came across this beautiful image of my baby cousin Marian (now in her early 20s!) with this little number on her gorgeous little head.
Continuing on the honesty front, Marian is actually the headband aficionado of the family - she was practically born with a headband on her head.
Anyway, here are the pins in question - dainty, small and sweet just like the tiny inspiration herself, and best of all, each one is unique but still totally affordable.
Little Fille flower pin, £4
Little Fille drew, £20

JolieBox March - Little Fille's "Elodie" headband!
By now, all beauty enthusiasts have probably heard of JolieBox - the monthly beauty box that delivers hand picked samples of luxury beauty products right to your doorstep. Unfortunately, I'm saving my pennies at the moment, so I don't subscribe - but I'm always oh so tempted whenever reading a blog that features this month's 'reveal.'
Imagine my surprise when discovering that JolieBox's new monthly magazine featured Little Fille's Elodie headband on the cover! Of course, I contacted them right away to confirm, and they were lovely enough to send me the magazine (which my mom will be receiving shortly in the post) and March's box (Sorry mom, that stays with me). Thank you, Siobhan!
What's great about this box was that most of this stuff was full size - so you're definitely getting your money's worth. And all the products come in a dust bag - which is completely luxe, don't you think?
Yardley English Lavender body wash - I love the scent of lavender, so this is naturally a winner in my book.
Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner - I like the silver handle concept, meaning that when the pencil is sharpened all the way down, you can still use it properly and aren't just struggling with a teeny, tiny pencil. Chic and economical. The pencil's consistency is quite creamy, so perfect for smudging. I'm not much of a "smudger" but I'm thinking someone who really likes a smokey eye would like this pencil.
Davines Authentic Moisturising Face/Hair/Body Balm - this is one of those all-in-one multi-taskers which is always useful on those 'Shit, where is my makeup remover/lotion/face wash/hair oil?' kind of days. I used it to remove the Eyeko eyeliner swatch off my hand and it did a pretty good job, and also left my hand feeling soft and moisturised. Plus it has really good stuff in it (organic jojoba oil, sunflower oil, and sesame oil and shea butter) and smells like a nice smelling boy - true story.
Free Your Mind Collection by LCN - This colour was sort of a fail on my skintone, but it has really pretty specks of gold. Also, it dries super fast which should be a plus, but for people who are crap at applying nail polish (me), it can be a bit annoying because you can't "blend" the streaks as easily.
Finally, the magazine featuring the Elodie headband, that you can buy here or at Boticca. Doesn't the model look lovely?
Anyway, thanks again to the wonderful people at Joliebox for featuring the headband on the cover(!) and for sending me a lovely box. If you're looking for a beauty box to subscribe to, look no further - this one's for you. You won't be disappointed and their customer service is top notch.

Happy Birthday Little One
In non Little Fille news, here's a video for my 8 year old sister, an ocean away in Canada. Don't know if this makes me a good or bad sister, but I love her to death anyway!

P.S Read Julia's blog here. She's kind of a big deal - you know, if you like talent, beauty, humour, and general amazing-ness. Personally, I hate her.
